About David Holman
My roots in Quay County go back to 1936, when my great grandparents, William and Charity Wallace bought the piece of land in Tucumcari I live on today. They moved here with a gaggle of their kids and grandkids. My house was built by my great uncle and aunt, Henry "Mac" and Allene MacMurphy. My various uncles, aunts and cousins were always a part of this community. Active in the First Baptist church. William helped build the Spanish Baptist Church. Charity (Granny Wallace) was volunteering at the Senior Center, serving lunch to "the old people" until she was in her 90's. I'm just living out that legacy.
I spent time here every summer in the 60's and 70's. And visited regularly as an adult. When I retired in 2021, I could have moved anywhere. I chose this house in this town because it was always my happy place. I pledge to do everything in my power to make it an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
